you’re booked!

You made the important first step!

Now, all that’s left to do is show up. We have some common questions below. If you have any additional questions before your trial, please feel free to email us at info@itcnewyork.com!

What do I need for my trial class?

If you’re coming to Judo, we’ll provide you with a Judo gi to use for your first class. We just ask that at some point in the next week, you wash it and return it so we can continue to use it for other trial students.

If you’re coming to Muay Thai, any athletic wear is good! Usually that means a t-shirt and shorts or leggings.

Am I expected to be in some minimum level of physical shape or have any kind of experience?

No! We don’t care what level of fitness you currently are or what experience you have. If you signed up for a trial class, then that means the class is accessible to people of all levels. We meet you where you are. The less experience with fitness or martial arts you have, the more of a blank slate you are for us to work with!

Will I have to spar, grapple, or fight in my trial class?

Absolutely not. You will not be expected to have any contact aside from glove-to-glove drills in Muay Thai and instructional grappling in Judo. No one is expected (or allowed, without prior experience) to spar in their trial classes.

How long is the class?

For judo, most classes run about 90 minutes. For Muay Thai, it’s anywhere from 45 minutes to 90 minutes depending on the intensity of the exercises and drills.

can I bring a friend?

For sure! Just have your friend sign up for the same trial day and come together. When you come in a pair, you’ll be able to take part in the entire class together as a pair.

I have more questions that weren’t answered here.

No problem. Email us at info@itcnewyork.com or just come in and feel free to ask any questions before the class starts!
